This is a rare folk culture selected by the Agency for Cultural Affairs as a National Intangible Folk Cultural Property, 'Bull-butting Customs of the Nanyo Region'.

A warm, handmade illumination event held in a satoyama nature park centered around a reservoir pond. Approximately 200,000 LED lights adorn the park, making it an overwhelmingly popular winter tradition in the Nanyo area.

During the Plum Blossom Festival, free plum tea is served at the 'Umemi Chaya' (Plum Viewing Teahouse), and Zashiki-bina (traditional doll displays) are exhibited. The night illumination on specific weekends is also a must-see.
