Nakayama Chestnut Festival
🌰 A festival celebrating the "Nakayama Chestnut," boasting the largest size in Japan! Japan's number one chestnut festival celebrating the harvest of Iyo City's specialty "Nakayama Chestnut," which was even presented to the Edo Shogunate. There are free roasted chestnut distributions, "chestnut grabbing" games, and numerous local gourmet food stalls where you can fully enjoy the flavors of autumn.
Every autumn, this popular event attracts many chestnut fans from both within and outside the town.

Goshikihama Moon-Viewing Imotaki
A quintessential autumn tradition of Ehime, enjoyed with the gentle lapping waves of the Seto Inland Sea and the cool autumn night breeze. Gather around a piping hot "Imotaki" stew, filled with taro, chicken, and other ingredients, while gazing at the full moon on Goshikihama's beautiful beach.

Iyo City Autumn Festival (Hachiawase)
A valiant autumn festival held annually in October at various shrines throughout the city (such as Iyo Inari Shrine and Iyo-oka Hachimangu Shrine). It's a traditional event filled with excitement and energy, featuring the powerful "Hachiawase" (clashing of portable shrines) with golden, gleaming omikoshi, and the dedication of local performing arts like the lion dance.
