Jigenji Temple Autumn Leaves Festival
🍁 Beautiful Contrast of Moss and Autumn Leaves! Niihama's Little Kyoto The garden of this Zen temple, with about 700 years of history, is specially open to the public only in autumn. Fantastic illuminations are also held on weekend and holiday evenings.
You can also enjoy matcha and zenzai (sweet red bean soup) in the main hall.

🏃 Niihama's Biggest Citizen's Race! Challenge One of Shikoku's Toughest Courses A serious marathon where runners enjoy views of Mt. Yamane with an elevation difference of 300m and the Besshi Copper Mine Industrial Heritage. There's also a category for junior high school students.
A JAAF RunLink affiliated race.

Niihama Oshima Shiroi Imo Festival
🍠 Harvest festival for the legendary brand sweet potato 'Shiroi Imo (Shichifuku Imo)'! A festival celebrating the harvest of rare sweet potatoes cultivated only on Oshima, an island off Niihama. Baked sweet potatoes and sweets are sold, and they are so popular they sell out quickly.
Oshima is about a 15-minute ferry ride from Kuroshima Port. You can also enjoy interacting with the islanders.

Minetopia Besshi Winter Illumination
✨ Approximately 120,000 Lights Illuminating the Night of "Akagane no Machi" (City of Copper) Mining railway objects and more glow fantastically, making this a classic winter spot. A popular route is to warm up at the hot springs after the event.
