Calligraphy Performance Koshien
🏆 Tears and Emotion of Youth! Japan's Premier Calligraphy Performance Koshien A moving event where high school calligraphy clubs, having won their regional qualifiers, compete for the title of Japan's best in Shikokuchuo City. Their performance, writing on giant washi paper measuring 4m high by 6m wide, accompanied by music and passionate dance, deeply moves spectators.
It has also served as a model for a film and is a large-scale international and cultural festival broadcast nationwide.

A Nenbutsu dance held annually on August 1st at Onishi Shrine in Shingu Town. It is a valuable folk art passed down to comfort the spirits of the feudal lords.

This is the Doi area's summer festival, featuring a refreshing Bon Odori dance and approximately 3,000 fireworks launched over the Sekikawa riverbed.
