The 'Odori Dance Competition' with approximately 1,000 participants, the 'Night Bazaar' where festivals from all over Shikoku gather, and the grand finale of approximately 8,000 'Underwater and Water Surface Starmine Fireworks' are truly spectacular. Three days of immense excitement.
We also recommend viewing the fantastic night fireworks, which blend with the lights of the industrial area, from the Gudate Observatory, one of Japan's Top 100 Night Views.

🏆 Tears and Emotion of Youth! Japan's Premier Calligraphy Performance Koshien A moving event where high school calligraphy clubs, having won their regional qualifiers, compete for the title of Japan's best in Shikokuchuo City. Their performance, writing on giant washi paper measuring 4m high by 6m wide, accompanied by music and passionate dance, deeply moves spectators.
It has also served as a model for a film and is a large-scale international and cultural festival broadcast nationwide.

In the Kawanoe and Doi areas, from October 13th to 15th, the excitement of the men reaches its peak with events like the Kakikurabe Contest and the Four-District Unified Parade.
The Kakikurabe at the Sekikawa riverbed is the best viewing spot.
