Located at the summit of a 307m mountain, this is the best scenic observatory on the Shimanami Kaido. A grand panorama unfolds, looking down on the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge, the world's first triple suspension bridge. The slopes and stairs from the parking lot to the observatory can be walked with your dog, and the sunset and night views are also popular. The "Moshio Gelato" sold at the shop is also recommended!

A rose park on a lush green hill overlooking the Kurushima Strait. Various roses from all over the world are planted in the park, and colorful flowers bloom in spring (around mid-May) and autumn (around October-November). It's an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll with your dog around the well-maintained lawn area.

Located at the summit of a 149m mountain, this scenic observatory park offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the three beautiful bridges (Tatara Bridge, Omishima Bridge, Hakata-Oshima Bridge) and the multi-island beauty of the Seto Inland Sea. It is famous as a spot where the entire mountain turns pink with about 1,000 cherry trees in spring, but even outside the cherry blossom and azalea seasons, you can enjoy the unique scenery of the Shimanami Kaido throughout the year by strolling with your dog along the quiet and open mountain top promenade.

Japan's largest dolphin interaction facility, adjacent to Roadside Station "Hakata S・C Park". From the long viewing pier, you can observe elegantly swimming dolphins up close. Surprisingly, the "Viewing Course" allows pets, and dog admission is free! (*Confirmation required for accompanying on interaction/swim courses). Some parts of the attached auto campsite are also pet-friendly.

A beautiful sandy beach lined with palm trees, adjacent to Dolphin Farm Shimanami and the roadside station, exuding a tropical resort feel. It's recommended to stroll along the beach with your dog while listening to the gentle waves of the Seto Inland Sea. In summer, it bustles as a swimming beach.

Considered the head shrine of over ten thousand Yamatsumi Shrines and Mishima Shrines nationwide, it is a historic power spot that has long attracted the faith of naval forces and samurai. The spacious grounds can be walked with your dog on a leash. The overwhelming presence of the sacred tree "Okusu," estimated to be over 2,600 years old, is particularly magnificent! *Please note that dogs are not allowed in the treasure hall or indoor facilities. Strict adherence to manners (e.g., waste disposal) within the shrine grounds is required.

A roadside station area spreading at the foot of the Tatara Bridge, one of the world's leading cable-stayed bridges. Within the grounds, excellent photo spots such as the "Cyclist's Sanctuary Monument" and the "Bell of Happiness" are scattered with the Seto Inland Sea as a backdrop. Outdoor terrace seats can be used with dogs and are ideal as a resting place. *Please follow local signs as some park areas may have "no dog walking" signs.

Kosanji Temple, with its dazzling array of buildings, and beyond it, the "Hill of Hope," a pure white marble garden spanning 5,000 square meters. This fantastical garden, reminiscent of the Mediterranean coast, is extremely popular as one of Japan's top Instagrammable spots! Surprisingly, dogs are allowed to enter on a leash (pet admission free, not allowed inside buildings). The terrace seats at Cafe Cuore on the hilltop can also be used with dogs.

The retro "Shiomachi Shopping Street" extends in front of Kosanji Temple. As expected from Ikuchijima, which boasts the largest lemon production in Japan, the shopping street features a "Happy Lemon-colored Post Box," extremely popular as a cute photo spot with your dog. Souvenirs made with lemons and gourmet street food like croquettes are also abundant, allowing you to leisurely stroll the outdoor streets with your dog.

All bicycle and pedestrian paths on the bridges connecting all 6 islands can be walked with your dog. A seaside stroll feeling the wind across the strait is exceptional. Under the pillars of the Tatara Bridge, there's a mysterious spot called "Naki-Ryu" (Crying Dragon) where sounds echo. As strong winds can blow on the bridge, small dogs will be safer with a sling or backpack carrier.
