This is a splendid festival held at Oshima's "Yoshiumi Rose Park," heralding the arrival of early summer to the island. Rare species transplanted from one of France's premier rose gardens, along with 3,500 bushes of 400 varieties of roses from around the world, will be in full bloom. On the day of the event, popular rose sapling sales, a flea market by island residents, and stage events will be held, allowing visitors to spend an elegant day enveloped in sweet fragrance. "Kirosan Observatory Park" on Oshima side and "Itoyama Park" on Shikoku side are very popular as the best viewing and photography spots.
