Imabari's largest summer festival. "Onmaku" means "with all your might" or "to the fullest" in the Imabari dialect. It's a major event attracting tens of thousands of visitors over two days. The first day features exciting stages with Tsugijishi lion dances and giant festival dances, while the final day culminates in a breathtaking grand fireworks display launched from the port.

Kikuma Festival (Otomo-uma Horse Racing)
The 2026 date is likely October 18th (Sunday), but awaiting official announcement. An Ehime Intangible Folk Cultural Property with approximately 600 years of history. Boys aged 3-15, called "Noriko," ride horses and gallop through the 300m approach to the shrine with shouts of "Hoiyer, Hoiyer" in a magnificent Shinto ritual. Lion dances, Tsugijishi (stacked lion dances), portable shrines, and Ushioni (ox-demon floats) also appear.

During the cherry blossom season, food stalls and trucks line up, creating a festive atmosphere. Enjoy ice cream, jakoten (fried fish cake), yakisoba, baby castella, and more.
